Love, I get it.⁠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠
And you need to be so much kinder to yourself right now.⁠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠
Despite how much you want to achieve your goal (and I know that you do want to A LOT)⁠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠
there is still a part of you that is resistant to move forward.⁠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠
Because that part of you feels scared⁠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠
Or threatened, even.⁠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠
That part of you feels like she's going to be left behind, the moment you build momentum towards that audacious goal.⁠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠
So she self-sabotages you.⁠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠
She throws a tantrum.⁠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠
She tries to stall you.⁠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠
But she's not doing it with any bad intention at all.⁠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠
... She is like a child. Can you see that?⁠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠
And all that she wants... is to be loved, seen, and cared for.⁠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠
Put both palms over your heart⁠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠
And let's give her some love right now.⁠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠
Tell her that she's going to be okay.⁠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠
Tell her that you're not leaving her behind.⁠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠
Tell her that you'll always be here for her... no matter what.⁠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠
Tell her that when you move forward, you're moving forward — together.⁠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠
🔹More self-criticism + discipline is NOT going to get you there faster.⁠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠
🔹More love and attention for yourself and your inner child will.⁠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠

Sometimes, it can look like...⁠
" I exceeded my business goal this month, holy crap! Dancing and partayyyy🎉🎉 "⁠
⁠⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠
It can also look like small things such as...⁠
" I showed up and sent out one email today. YAY!!! Celebration~~~💃"⁠
⁠⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠
And other times, it could be..⁠
" Today I really did try my best, despite how I felt. Wow. How did I do that? 😱 Let's celebrate!💫💫"⁠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠
The more I allow myself to settle into ALL of my successes/ wins and let them become my reality,⁠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠
the more I learn about myself and what works for me, ⁠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠
the more I trust myself⁠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠
the more capable I feel⁠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠
the more I live in so much love, awe, and joy⁠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠
... and the faster I grow.⁠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠
➡️How much time per day do you spend thinking about what you didn't do well vs. what you did do well?⁠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠
If you spend far less time on the later - know that it's actually normal, so don't beat yourself up.⁠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠
Celebration is the act of allowing in joy and success.⁠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠

For the past few days I wasn't being positive at a For the past few days I wasn't being positive at all.⠀⁠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠
I wasn't feeling especially energetic, excited, or inspired.⁠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠
I know my time of the month is coming.⁠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠
My emotions feel just bleh.⁠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠
So I caught up with some old friends. ⁠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠
I jumped on coaching calls.⁠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠
I gave myself lots of break doing nothing.⁠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And, I still got my work done for the week.⁠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠
Overall, I had a great week.⁠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠
➡️My bleh-ness was not a problem.⁠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠
.... because I wasn't making how I feel mean something has gone wrong. ⁠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠
🔹I also wasn't trying to be positive.⁠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠
Instead, here's what I was doing:⁠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠
I was still committed. I was still willing. I was still loving - toward my clients, my relationships, my business, and myself.⁠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠
Feeling committed and willing do not "feel good"⁠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠
And even loving does not always feel like "rainbows-daisies-and-all-positive." ⁠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠
Sometimes, they can feel just — bleh.⁠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠
➡️So, stop trying to be positive and happy all the time.⁠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠
Instead, learn to be kind to yourself.⁠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠
Practice thinking effectively.⁠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠
Allow your human emotions... just as they are without judgement.⁠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠
That's how you can create a successful week.⁠
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠

🔹Counselling/ therapy works mainly with the past. Whereas coaching focuses more on the present and future.⁠
⁠⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🔹Therapy is more about healing past wounds and trauma; coaching works more with where you are now, and how to create a desirable future that you want to create (If we do talk about the past, it's about working through it in a way that's helpful to you now)⁠
⁠⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🔹Therapy mainly takes you from dysfunctional to functional. Whereas coaching takes you from functional to thriving.⁠
⁠⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
CLIENT & COACH/ THERAPIST RELATIONSHIP⁠
⁠⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🔹The therapist diagnoses the problem, then provides expertise/ guidelines to help you work through trauma and healing (therapist knows and has the answers)⁠
⁠⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🔹The coach is in a collaborative partnership with you, helps you identify challenges, teaches you self-accountability, and coaches you through obstacles to achieve the results you want (you have the answers)⁠
⁠⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Now, this is a broad generalization, of course. These definitions could vary between individual therapists/ coaches, their style/ methods of working with you, and their specialization.
⁠⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
➡️Personally, I believe that coaching is for everyone.⁠
⁠⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We're all humans with human brains 🧠 and learning to manage your thoughts and emotions can benefit you doesn't matter where you are in life.⁠
⁠⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I am working with clients who are also working with therapists at the same time too.⁠
⁠⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Every one of us all have some kind of past healing/ trauma work to do. But that doesn't have to be what's holding you back.⁠
⁠⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You can still decide to work on yourself now, and actively go for what you want to have in your career, relationships, and personal goals (if you choose to, of course)⁠
⁠⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
➡️ Ultimately, you get to decide what you're looking for and what's best for you.⁠
⁠⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
